Harley Quinn may have come way after Batman, but that didn’t stop her from being one of the most famous and loved characters in superhero history. Even if she is a villain, Harley Quinn has never given anybody a chance or reason not to like her. Any comic book fan would know that she is mentally unstable but can never be underestimated because she looks weak. In fact, she has superhuman abilities like agility and strength. Moreover, she has given Batman a tough time while he battled the Joker, becoming a pain in the neck with the distractions. The women have been drawn to look hot, seductive, sexy, but very lethal too. Harley Quinn is one villain that has always been by the side of Joker because she’s his love interest with on and off relationship. Other than that, she is more than capable fending off superheroes, or heroines, all by herself. Her hidden power is that Harley can use her brains even if she doesn’t think or act straight.
Before she came to be known as Harley Quinn, she went by the name of Harleen Quinzel. Just like any other human being, she had a very decent job but at a place where nobody wanted to be. Harleen was a famous psychiatrist at the Arkham Asylum. After getting caught up in the charm by one of her ‘favorite’ patients, Harleen Quinzel went on to become the demented, crazy villain we know of today. Her alluring looks have varied all the way through the years. Harley Quinn costumes consisted of colors and designs that relate to the playing cards with diamonds as her signature pattern. She never dressed as a typical female villain like Poison Ivy etc. Harley either looked like a disturbed nurse or childish girl but always looking sexy and jaw-dropping.
There have been seven Harley Quinn costumes overall. Her first costume in her debut was known as the Jester costume that was divided into four sections by two colors and diamond patches. As she became famous, Harley Quinn was then featured in a game with an entirely different outfit. Comparing it to the previous suit, this was suiting towards the adult audience. With a blood-spattered two piece outfit that was revealing. The next costume was another one that was meant for a matured audience for usual reasons. This came in a comic book issue that was inspired by the game’s events. Then another game released that had a more of a comic resemblance rather than being completely fresh. With some modifications here and there, this was a costume that made Harley Quinn look like a total badass. Lately, DC Comics decided to reboot its universe, and they certainly couldn’t leave one of their main characters without a new look. This edition showed Harley Quinn as seductive and fatal as possible. She had a more revealing costume as compared to the other ones. When the character was brought to the TV screens, she first appeared in a very ordinary looking henchman costume in a series and then came this highly demanded modernized costume of hers.
